Novel sonorities belonging to various musical styles will be presented to the public in Bucharest for the first time during the event called,,Operetta Electric Nights 2015″.
Hence, on Thursdays, 17th and 24th of December, 7 p.m., the Choir and the Orchestra of the Operetta and Musical Theatre “Ion Dacian“, together with the composer and the orchestrator Mihai Toma presents a special concert on University Square, for Bucharest Christmas Market 2015 . This event combines the electronic sounds with classical instruments, creating a modern, surprising perspective of the expressive traditional universe of Romanian music, alongside the Chorus of the Operetta and Musical theatre ”Ion Dacian”. The orchestrations of each song springs from tribal rhythms blended with synthetic sounds and ethnical instruments, reaching to sonorous ethereal textures that bring the peace and quietness of New Age music.
Mihai Toma is the only Romanian musician whose compositions have been included on two Buddha Bar compilations and one of the few electronic music composers performing at George Enescu Festival. Mihai Toma masters a wide range of musical instruments, starting from flutes, traditional instruments, guitar and ending with modern percussion instruments and synthesizers. He composed, produced and orchestrated musical materials for cinematic creations, as well as for numerous artists from Romania and abroad.
Operetta Electric Nights 2015″ represents an event organised by creart and Operetta & Musical Theatre Ion Dacian. Admission is free.
