Așteptarea a luat sfârșit! CONCURSUL INTERNAȚIONAL DE VIDEO MAPPING IMAPP BUCHAREST – LIGA CÂȘTIGĂTORILOR, organizat de CREART – serviciu public de cultură aflat în subordinea Primăriei Capitalei, are loc pe 18 septembrie 2021, în Piața Constituției, lucrările artistice ale echipelor participante fiind proiectate pe cea mai mare suprafață de proiecție din lume – fațada Palatului Parlamentului de 23.000 mp.
A VII-a ediție a evenimentului, câștigător al categoriei „AV IN ACTION” la Premiile AV AWARDS din Londra 2020, celebrează modul în care oamenii își reiau treptat viața, tema concursului de video mapping – ”THE SHOW MUST GO ON” – prezentând domenii de impact în societatea contemporană, care au capacitatea de a se reinventa și de a asigura efervescența și dinamismul unei vieți care ne-a lipsit tuturor atât de mult. Astfel, tema propusă intenționează să ofere momente de reflecție și dezbatere privind reașezarea acestor domenii vitale și raporturile lor cu publicul după un an în care lumea părea că s-a oprit în loc.
Printr-un parteneriat cu cinci dintre cele mai importante festivaluri internaționale de video mapping din lume, iMapp Bucharest va reuni, în Capitală, cei mai buni artiști de video mapping, câștigători ai evenimentelor partenere, care vor reinterpreta fațada Palatului Parlamentului prin lucrări artistice care utilizează sunetul, tehnologia și muzica pentru a reda viziunea proprie asupra temei. Celor cinci echipe li se va alătura în competiție echipa câștigătoare a Premiului Juriului din cadrul ediției iMapp Bucharest 2019.
Artistii invitați vor medita la impactul pandemiei asupra aspectelor vitale ale societății, la experimentul virtual la care am asistat cu toții în anul 2020 și limitele lui dar, mai ales, la maniera în care alegem să continuăm. Arta, muzica, sportul, educația, turismul și viața în general trebuie să continue și vor continua fără îndoială. Cele 6 mari categorii enumerate vor fi interpretate în opera vizuală a fiecărui artist, în mod distinct și original.

The wait is over! THE INTERNATIONAL VIDEO MAPPING COMPETITION IMAPP BUCHAREST – WINNERS LEAGUE, organized by CREART – Centre for Creation, Art and Tradition of Bucharest Municipality, takes place on September 18th, 2021, in Constitution Square (Bucharest, Romania), the artistic works of the participating teams being projected on the highest surface in the world – the façade of the Palace of Parliament (23,000 sqm).
The 7th edition of the event, winner of the “AV IN ACTION” category at the AV AWARDS in London 2020, celebrates the way people gradually resume their lives, the theme of the video mapping contest – “THE SHOW MUST GO ON” – presenting domains of impact in contemporary society, that have the ability to reinvent themselves and ensure the effervescence and dynamism of a life that we have all missed so much. Thus, the proposed theme intends to provide moments of reflection and debate on the resettlement of these vital domains and their relationship with the public after a year in which the world seemed to have stopped.
Through a partnership with five of the most important international video mapping festivals in the world, iMapp Bucharest will bring together, in the Capital of Romania, the best video mapping artists, winners of the partner events, who will reinterpret the façade of the Palace of Parliament through works of art that use sound, technology and music to render one’s own vision of the theme. The five teams will be joined in the competition by the winning team of the Jury Award of iMapp Bucharest 2019 edition.
The invited artists will meditate on the impact of the pandemic on the vital aspects of society, on the virtual experiment we all witnessed in 2020 and its limits, but especially on the way we choose to continue. Art, music, sports, education, tourism and life in general must continue and will undoubtedly continue. The 6 major categories listed will be interpreted in the visual work of each artist, distinctly and originally.
