The City Hall of the Capital, through Creart – The Center for Creation, Art and Tradition, in partnership with “Frederico II” University of Naples, the Romanian Institute for Culture and Human Demonstration in Venice and the Accademia di Romania in Rome, organizes on 3 November 2017 , at 10.30, the opening of the Architecture and Royal Exhibition at Palazzo Gravina, the headquarters of the Department of Architecture at the University of Naples.
The exhibition takes place under the auspices of the Royal Family of Romania and bears the signature of the acad. Prof. Dr. Răzvan Theodorescu, Prof. Dr. Augustin Ioan and Prof. Dr. Marius Marcu – Lapadat, Curator – Ionel Stoicescu.
The exhibition can be visited between November 3 and 16, 2017, at Palazzo Gravina, at the Library of the Architecture Department of “Frederico II” University of Naples, the entrance being free.
The exhibition illustrates three great themes: “The Architecture of the Kings and Queens of Romania”, a section that noticed the direct role of the kings and queens of Romania in the realization of some of the most important edifices of the country; “Representative Architecture in Romania Influenced by Royality and Monarchs”, theme dedicated to the influence of kingdom in society, in the configuration of some directions in architecture in Romania; “The exhibition of royal exhibitions”, a section illustrating the architecture as it was designed to society and abroad, an architecture about how the Kingdom of Romania wanted to be seen outwardly.
The opening of November 3, 2017, in Naples, will be accompanied by a colloquium by Prof. Dr. Arch. Augustin Ioan and Prof. Dr. Marius Marcu – Lapadat, as well as by the documentary film “Residences of the Romanian Royal “(Subject and script), Prof. Dr. Răzvan Theodorescu.
