Robin and the Backstabbers is a Romanian rock band established in 2010 by Andrei Robin Proca. Andrei Robin Proca (vocals, guitar), Florentin Vasile (guitar, vocals), Oigăn (bass), Andrei Fântână (keyboard, saxophone), Radu Moldovan (percussion) and Vladimir Proca (drums) describe the band’s music as a “melodramatic pop”.
Having 8 singles at no.1 on Radio Guerilla and on City FM charts, their debut album Bacovia Overdrive, vol. I: Stalingrad was one of the best sold albums in the first month after its launch (Cărturești and iTunes Romania Charts), propelling Robin and the Backstabbers into leading artists appreciated by an audience looking for a new sound in the alternative music area.
