Analia Selis (voice), Mariano Castro (piano), Omar Massa (bandoneon), Răzvan Suma (cello), Rafael Butaru (violin).
After resounding successes of artistic performances like “Do you like Bach?, Do you like Brahms?, Do you like Tango?, Analia Selis Cultural Association proposes us a unique project in Romania.
The main target of this project tries to express the most authentic music composed by Astor Piazzolla, also known as the true “soundtrack” of Buenos Aires.
ArgenTango wants to present to his audience a lesser-known side of Piazzolla in Romania. Most of his well known vocal and instrumental music pieces are supported by great poets such as J. L. Borges and Horacio Ferrer.
Piazolla brings huge benefits to tango movement, raising it to a very high academical level, thus presenting it on the most important stages of the world, a thing quite unconceivable before.
The arrangements and transcripts of this ensemble are built by Mariano Castro around bandoneon, a wonderful instrument which has been made popular by Piazzolla. Omar Massa is one of the most appreciated young artists playing this instrument.
