Classical Music, Jazz and other surprises for the third edition of the event called “ASPHALT SYMPHONIES”
Creart – The Centre for Creation, Art and Tradition, Municipality of Bucharest, organizes IFF – The International Folklore Festival entitled “Music and Traditions in Cismigiu”, celebrating an anniversary edition! The event will take place between 24th and 26th of June 2016.
In 2016, the International Folklore Festival “Music and Traditions in Cismigiu” celebrates 10 years of cultural diversity, presenting 10 folk ensembles coming from abroad: Spain, Ireland, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Italy, Morrocco, Moldova, Serbia, Slovakia and Turkey, 10 minorities and communities ( Hungarian, Ukrainian, German, Aromanian, Lipovan Russian, Italian, Turk-Tatar, Slovakian, Rroma and Greek), 10 young traditional music artists and 10 Romanian folklore ensembles.
The last edition of our festival was attended by 25.000 people who followed the performances given by various national communities and minorities, as well as folk ensembles coming from India, Armenia, Moldova, Serbia and Scotland. Traditional music groups from 20 countries and 20.000 national and international artists have participated in all nine editions.
