“The Book Tree” opens the free reading area in Cismigiu Gardens

“The Book Tree”, an event which seeks to help all the Bucharesters in rediscovering the joy of reading in the middle of the nature, reopens in Cismigiu Gardens for the third year in a row. During the period of 15th July and 14th August, 2016, the lawn nearby Rigas and Victor Eftimiu entrances will be converted into a place of relaxation and open air reading area. People of all ages will be able to choose here from over 500 titles of various books, magazines and scientific publications, relaxing on fluffy chairs, hammocks or blankets on green grass in park, listening to chill-out music and having fun in the workshops and activities held every weekend.

The area will be opened Monday to Thursday, between 5 pm and 10 pm and it will be entirely dedicated for reading, while creation workshops for children will be organized on Friday – starting with 6.30 pm and on Saturday and Sunday – starting with 11 am. Weekend evenings are dedicated to documentary and short movies screenings on a wide variety of topics for everyone.
