The Amsterdams – an indie-rock/pop band formed in Bucharest, in 2005. Influenced by the alternative British genre, the five members of this band have been quickly known as groundbreaking Romanian artists, enjoying a warm acceptance in various countries of the world like Great Britain, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, India.
With a first EP and other three albums, The Amsterdams are starting now a new phase of exploration and redefinition of their own sound for the new album „Eternity for Dummies”, released this spring, at Universal Music Romania. The band preserves here their indie intentions, embracing some electropop textures in a diverse, positive, full of catchy lyrics album, conveying such a contagious energy.
